My perspective upon Facebook is that it is an easy and great way to meet new people and stay in touch with your friends. You can like their photos or posts or you can chat with them by using your Facebook Messenger. Overall it is a great site to have and use. However people use it in different ways.
Boys mostly use it to meet new girls or chat with their friends. On the other hand girls seem to have a huge obsession in taking a lot of pictures and posting them. They also tend to get a bit competitive when it comes to who has the most “likes”.
However parents tend to not let their children to have an account because they are afraid they will meet bad people or get badly influenced by it/them. I personally disagree with this opinion because children can chose who they want as friends and who they don’t.
In spite of the advantages there are some disadvantages and negative things you might want to know about. Facebook can also have a negative influence on most teenagers because they get sucked in by it. Instead of learning for school or going out with their friends they descend into a bad psychological state and they are more interested in what’s going on in the virtual world than in the real one.
My opinion is that it is not a good idea to get carried away like that and that it is OK to spend a little bit of time on Facebook but this has to have its limits.
In conclusion I think Facebook is a cool and fun way to interact with your friends but it is an artificial way of doing it. The most optimal way of really getting to know your friends and other people you meet is by simply having a conversation with them face to face. This is truly the best way of getting to know somebody.
